Rahul Gandhi alleges ‘match-fixing’ in Maharashtra elections, says Bihar is next; BJP hits back

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has sharply criticised the outcome of the November 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating a “match-fixing” strategy to secure its unprecedented victory. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, which includes the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), won 235 of the 288 seats.
